Accessibility
This site targets WCAG 2.1 Level AA. A planning tool that only works for some visitors has not done its job, and most of what makes a page accessible also makes it faster and clearer to use for everyone.
Keyboard operation and focus
Every page uses semantic HTML landmarks and heading order, with a skip-to-content link available at the top of every page. Every interactive control, including navigation, forms, buttons, and dialogs, is reachable and operable using a keyboard alone, and the current focus is always visible with a clearly contrasting outline.
Accessible forms and validation
Every input on this site has a visible, associated label, not placeholder text used as a label substitute. When an input is invalid or a required value is missing, that state is communicated in text, not by color alone, so it is available to a screen reader and to a visitor who cannot distinguish the colors used to signal it.
Mobile and touch
Interactive elements are sized and spaced for touch use, and layouts, including data tables, are designed to reflow into a readable single-column presentation on narrow screens rather than requiring horizontal scrolling to read a result.
